Advice Is A Confession.
If you want to understand someone, start with the advice they give you.
Why?
If they can separate themselves from the matter, you see their competence.
If they canโt - or just donโt want to- you see the advice they need to hear.
You will know the difference in seconds.
And if you keep your ears open, you will learn either way.
The wise learn from everything and everyone.
The ordinary from their experience.
Fools know everything already.
โSocrates
No idea who coined this first, but great admen and authors have admitted they wrote to themselves.
Their younger, present, or future versions.
This is also another reason why their ideas hit hard.
Because everyone is different, but our problems are common.
They knew what they were talking about.
They have failed, tried, and won.
They had skin in the game.
This isnโt an advice letter. Only a reminder to keep your eyes open.
Whenever someone speaks, think;
Is it meant for you, or for themselves?
